Daneri Mortuary History

Daneri Mortuary - One hundred years of service

When 21-year-old John James Daneri took over the county's only mortuary in 1902, services were basic. A horse-drawn hearse had to be rented from a local livery stable when the need arose.

In 1918, "modernization" meant the purchase of a horseless carriage hearse to better serve a growing community.

Currently, services at Daneri Mortuary have changed significantly with time and technology to meet expanding needs.

What has not changed is a commitment to continue providing professional, caring and quality service to family members at a special time in their lives.

EXPANDING SERVICE SINCE 1902

Building a record of service and community trust and confidence has been the goal of the Daneri Family since 1902 and of succeeding ownerships to the present.

Today's full-service mortuary and chapel at 415 Broadway in Jackson, is the brick and mortar product of that trust built on decades of experience in the delivery of caring and professional services.

Services offered in the community now include Sunset View Cemetery, a crematorium, columbarium and mausoleum.

NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS

Daneri Mortuary is proud of a staff that is sensitive and attentive to detail in professional service and dedicated also to community participation.

Families can take comfort in knowing that all of Daneri's services are provided by trained professionals, who are also their neighbors.

HELP WHEN IT'S NEEDED

With a century-long service record, Daneri Mortuary is an authority on pre-planning. It is a service that not only frees families of often-painful decisions and tedious paperwork, but also ensures that the wishes of the deceased are carried out.
